COMMISSIONED

A special request

This was a very special request. I'll tell you why.
My great-grandfather fought as a machine gunner in the Second World War and spent his service in the casemates. These were located on the Afsluitdijk and were the last uprising against the German occupation.
Although they were able to hold their ground, they were forced to surrender. After being imprisoned for a while, my great-grandfather resigned.
70 years after the war, my Great-grandfather finally got his decoration. My family decided to donate the award to the casemates museum.

His medallion and my drawing of him can be admired next to the machine gun he once stood behind.

3 Point Landing

The band liked my fan art so much that they asked me to make a drawing based on the fan art. They wanted to use the illustration to print on their merchandise. I told the band I wanted to do it, but only on one condition. "What is the condition?" the band asked. My condition is that part of the profit goes to a good cause. They thought that was a wonderful idea!
